My daughter- a true adventure seeking phenom, found herself and beloved dog Cedric hiking the trails of Sweetwater Preserve, in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains earlier this year. The west and all its wonders provide places to explore and bring joy to her. I painted this scene for my daughter, featuring a saguaro cactus with its surrounding exquisite, semi-arid terrain. She had taken a photo in this very spot on her recent excursion to rock climb in Arizona.
